Our values are based on the Old and New Testament scriptures, which we believe to be the infallible Word of God. We look only to God’s Word as authority for faith, conduct, and doctrine to enrich our lives.
There is one God who alone possesses the absolute attributes of all knowing, all powerful, all seeing, everywhere, eternal. He is revealed to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Trinity). He is the beginning and the end.
We believe that man was created in God’s image. But, through the temptation of Satan man willfully sinned against the commandments of God and fell from grace.
Due to this disobedience, man entered into a corrupt nature which deserves eternal punishment.
Because of God’s abundant love for us, he did not desire any to perish from sin. God sent his mediator, Jesus Christ, his only son to bear our sins.
Jesus Christ paid our debt for us by his death on the cross, rising from the dead, and ascending into heaven to sit at the right hand of His Father. He is known as the Mighty Counselor, King of Kings, Lord of lords, a fortress in time of need, the Comforter, the Sovereign of the Universe, High Priest, and Savior.
Salvation comes through acceptance of Jesus Christ in our lives. By repenting from our sins and humbling ourselves in honest sorrow, turning our backs to willful, deliberate sin we receive the free gift of God’s grace and love, eternal life.
With salvation comes putting our faith in Him and resting upon Him alone for justification, sanctification and eternal life. Through the Holy Spirit our hearts are pricked to do ‘good in the sight of the Lord’. Pursue holiness.
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ instituted the ordinances of baptism and communion to be practiced by believers in Christ. The believer is immersed in water in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Water baptism is administered upon confession of faith and symbolizes the crucifixion of sin in our lives, being buried and resurrected with Christ. A new life emerges.
Communion (The Lord’s Supper) is administered to Christians who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior through the confession of sins. It is a bond between God and the individual believer who confirms his intent to continue in the Christian walk.
The church is a body of believers with the Lord Jesus Christ as its head. According to His commandment, Christians are to associate themselves with the church by assembling together.
We believe in the resurrection of the just and unjust; the just redeemed by the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, will spend eternity with Him. The unjust, dying without repentence or unreconciled to God will be condemned to everlasting punishment in Hell.
Christians are commissioned to spread the good news that Jesus Christ has risen and lives within our hearts. We are to grow stable and secure Christians through the Word of God. He knocks at the door to everyone’s heart. Open the door.
